As an established detox and rehabilitation facility, we can assure you of a professional and friendly service right the way through your admission, treatment and beyond.
Our admissions team is dedicated to helping you and your family through, what is for most, a very difficult time. We appreciate that active addiction impacts on all that are concerned with the sufferer; we provide a compassionate and understanding service that exudes transparency. We will work with you to help alleviate any fears you may have concerning admission and treatment. Furthermore, we are on standby 24/7 to assist with any urgent admissions.
Four Stages of the Admissions Process
- Assessment
- Choice of clinic
- Deposit
- Admission
Prior To Admission
Prior to admission, you will be contacted by one of our team to carry out an assessment of your medical and treatment needs to ensure that everything is ready for your stay. You will undergo a detailed medical assessment by one of our Doctors on your arrival, who will prescribe any medication required for your detox. Our doctor and clinical team will oversee your detox and will promptly address any concerns raised regarding your detox.
With our streamlined admissions process, you and your family will be taken care of every step of the way. Admitting to treatment doesn’t need to be overwhelming; in fact, many of our staff are in recovery and have been through rehab themselves, so they fully understand what you are going through and are committed to making things as simple and stress-free as possible.
Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding admission to Oasis Runcorn.
On Arrival
When you arrive at Oasis Bradford, a member of our team will warmly welcome you, answer any questions you may have, and provide reassurance about the process ahead. You will be shown around the clinic so you can familiarise yourself with your surroundings. After a full medical assessment with one of our doctors, you will be taken to your room. Any valuables will be stored safely for you, and we will guide you through any remaining paperwork.
We appreciate that many clients arrive feeling unwell, overwhelmed, or intoxicated. Your first day with us is kept as simple and calm as possible to help you settle in comfortably without feeling overloaded with information.
Medical Assessment
Shortly after your arrival, you will meet with one of our doctors and a member of our nursing team for a comprehensive medical assessment. If a detox regime is required, it will be prescribed and closely monitored throughout your stay. Your current medications will also be reviewed to ensure all your health needs are supported. Any medications you are taking you will need to bring with you. For those that have a drug or alcohol dependency, a full medical detox regime will be prescribed to assist with the detox process. We adhere to strict safety regulations ensuring your safety is paramount. Your detox will be monitored and supported by our fully trained staff for its duration. The team will work with medical staff and agencies to ensure you receive the appropriate care. If required a full assessment of any co-occurring existing illness will be arranged; we want to ensure you receive the correct treatment and medical assistance where required. Additional medication and vitamins may be prescribed in order to support your mental and physical recovery.
Any patient that needs a high level of urgent medical attention can be taken to the hospital to be seen and treated accordingly. Most complex detoxes that require 24/7 medical management, we can accommodate at our Bradford detox unit.
If you need to admit urgently support will be provided in terms of arrangements for work.
Oasis Communities Runcorn is a Care Quality Commissioned addiction rehab facility; we adhere to very strict policies and guidelines with regards to your safety, treatment and medical care at all times.
Your Stay
Within your first two days, you will meet your designated therapist, who will work with you to create a personalised care plan tailored to your medical, emotional, physical, and social needs. Your treatment plan will support both your physical and emotional stabilisation and will include regular one-to-one sessions with your key worker to review your progress and address any concerns.
If you are undergoing a medical detox with us, more intensive therapies will be delivered once you have finished the course of medication. During detox, you are likely to feel foggy and unfocused whilst the alcohol or drugs leave your system. You will still benefit from therapy and support delivered by our Counsellors, Therapists and Recovery Workers. Once your detox has been completed and you are able to think more clearly, we can then concentrate on your full mental, emotional and spiritual rehabilitation. Your individualised treatment plan will encompass a number of powerful and proven, effective addiction treatments, ensuring you receive the very best and advanced in cutting-edge addiction treatment care. Furthermore, you have a choice of a programme to follow. The benefits of both will be fully explained to you by your Counsellor who will assist you in making the correct decision for your recovery
Your Security
Your safety is our top priority. Oasis Bradford is a secure environment with CCTV in communal and key areas, monitored to ensure the wellbeing of every client. Our team also conducts regular nighttime checks to ensure you are comfortable and safe.
For your protection and to support your recovery, clients are not permitted to leave the premises without a support worker. This helps minimise exposure to temptation and ensures consistent support. Any visitors must be pre-approved by our team to maintain safety for everyone in the clinic
If you have any further questions relating your admission, please contact us directly and speak to a member of our team, who will be happy to talk you through the process.
